About Us

Our Story

Why Primal Plate Exists

Primal Plate was born from a simple but urgent realization: the food most children eat today bears almost no resemblance to the nutrient-dense whole foods that built healthy humans for millennia. Processed cereals, seed oils, refined sugars, and synthetic supplements have quietly replaced the real nourishment that growing bodies need.

As parents ourselves, we spent years researching ancestral nutrition, consulting with practitioners, and experimenting in our own kitchens. We discovered that when children eat the way nature intended — grass-fed meats, pasture-raised eggs, wild-caught seafood, raw dairy, and seasonal produce — something remarkable happens. They thrive.

But we also discovered that navigating this world is overwhelming. Where do you source raw milk? How do you introduce organ meats to a toddler? What does a week of primal meals actually look like? These are the questions that Primal Plate was created to answer — clearly, practically, and beautifully.

Our Philosophy

What we believe

Ancestral Wisdom

We look to the past to inform the future — drawing on thousands of years of traditional food wisdom to guide modern families.

Bioavailable Nutrition

We prioritize foods in their most natural, absorbable forms — the way our bodies were designed to receive nourishment.

Non-Toxic Living

From the food we eat to the cookware we use, we believe in removing harmful chemicals and toxins from the family kitchen.

Whole Animal Foods

Nose-to-tail eating honors the animal and provides the full spectrum of nutrients that growing children need to thrive.

A Note to Parents

We know how hard it is to feel confident about what you're feeding your children. The conflicting advice, the guilt, the overwhelm — we've been there. Primal Plate isn't about perfection. It's about progress. Every real food swap, every nutrient-dense meal, every step away from processed foods is a gift to your child's health. We're here to make that journey simpler, clearer, and more joyful.
